Over 40 Adelaide Business Owners Join Our AI Business Breakfast

More than 40 Adelaide business owners and senior leaders joined us early on 9 September 2026 for the 10xGrowth Labs AI Business Breakfast. We kept the morning practical: no hype, no sales pitch, just real business work done with AI in front of the room.

What we covered

1. The AI shift: where it pays back and where it doesn't

Neeraj Kapoor, CEO of 10xGrowth Labs and former Director in the Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem, opened with a plain look at where AI is giving Australian businesses a real advantage today, and where it is still noise. The main point: start with how your work runs, not with a tool.

2. Live demonstrations

We ran AI through real business tasks from start to finish, including:

• Turning emails into jobs, quotes and customer updates
• Writing first drafts of proposals, reports and follow-ups in the business's own tone
• Answering after-hours enquiries and moving them towards a booking
• Pulling information together from systems that don't talk to each other

3. Building your AI workforce

Alan Thomas, General Manager of 10xGrowth Labs, brought the commercial view. Attendees mapped the highest-value AI opportunities in their own businesses: which jobs to automate first, which to leave alone, and how to work out the payback before spending anything.

4. Open Q&A

The Q&A was the busiest part of the morning. People brought real problems: rostering, quoting, compliance paperwork, follow-ups that fall through the cracks, and how to keep customer data safe when using AI.
